This site, and the products and services offered by WeatherSleuth LLC through this site are not intended for use by children.  

Information Types
Information collected online is often defined as being either anonymous or personally identifiable.

Anonymous information is not traceable to a specific individual. For instance, we may know that 500 people visited WeatherSleuth LLC’s home page today, but we do not know personal information such as their names, residence, and date of birth. What we collect from transactions such as this constitutes anonymous information.

Personally identifiable information (PII) refers to information that specifically identifies you, such as your name, e-mail address, and mailing address. We generally need this information to provide the service or information you have requested. 

Use by Minors
We will never, knowingly, request or collect PII from anyone under the age of 18. Please do not allow children under the age of 18 to provide any PII to WeatherSleuth LLC. If we are notified that a child under 18 has provided personal information, we will delete that information as soon as reasonably possible. If you become aware that a child under 18 has provided such information, please send us a detailed email at privacy@wxsleuth.com so we can delete this information.  

What We Collect About You
You may be asked to provide information that personally identifies you so that we can respond to your inquiry in a timely manner. The information requested includes PII such as your name, address, zip code, email address, and phone number. The amount and nature of PII you choose to disclose is completely at your discretion. The only way we know something about you is if you choose to provide information to us via email, over the phone, or to one of our associates in person. If you contact WeatherSleuth LLC, we may keep a record of that correspondence, and may request further information from you, depending on the nature of the contact.  

Vendors and Third Party Providers
In order to raise to value of our web site to our clients, we may offer some products or services in conjunction with other firms. In some instances, our partners will have the same access to your PII as we do. Their use of the information will be subject to the terms of their respective privacy policies or statements, which you can find on their websites.

You may also seek access to certain services or products on web sites linked to WeatherSleuth or from links provided on WeatherSleuth’s web pages. When ordering, registering for or purchasing products or services from these third party providers or vendors, you will be entering into an agreement with that provider, and not with WeatherSleuth LLC, and supplemental terms may apply. WeatherSleuth LLC is not responsible for and does not endorse or accept any responsibility over the contents or use of the third party provider sites, and is not responsible for any form of transmission received from any linked site.    

Special Circumstances
In special circumstances, WeatherSleuth LLC may disclose PII when there is reason to believe that this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be violating this privacy statement or when there is reason to believe an individual may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) WeatherSleuth LLC’s rights or property, other WeatherSleuth LLC clients, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities. WeatherSleuth LLC may also be requested to disclose PII to law enforcement authorities for a variety of circumstances including by court-ordered subpoena.
